Abstract
Operational research using methods such as mathematical modeling to analyze complex situations will always give executive managers the ability to make more appropriate decisions and create an efficient, optimal and fruitful system. In short, operational research can be considered as the use of mathematical modeling in solving real problems in order to determine the most appropriate possible decision. Project investment is the sum of monetary (funds) and non-monetary (assets) resources that the investor wants to provide to the project in order to earn profit or return after the successful completion of the project. The investor acts as the sponsor or champion of the project who evaluates the investment opportunity to determine the ROI (return on investment) which is the key measure of the project's performance.
