The Influence of Managerial Skills on the Productivity of Rice Farmers in Mazandaran Province

Abstract
Managerial skills are crucial factors for enhancing organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency. This study aims to investigate the impact of managers' technical, human, and conceptual skills on the production performance and efficiency of rice growers in Mazandaran Province. This applied research employs a descriptive-survey design. The statistical population comprises all 51 managers from the Agricultural Jihad Organization across the cities of Mazandaran Province. Using Morgan’s table, a sample of 44 managers was selected via simple random sampling in 2024. Data were collected through library reviews and field surveys using two researcher-made questionnaires assessing managerial skills and rice farmers' efficiency. Content validity was confirmed by academic experts, and reliability was established using Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.899). Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software, utilizing descriptive statistics, the one-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and multiple linear regression to examine the hypotheses. The results confirmed the normal distribution of the research variables. Furthermore, the linear regression analysis revealed that the technical, human, and conceptual skills of Agricultural Jihad managers exert a positive and statistically significant effect on improving the operational efficiency of rice growers in Mazandaran Province. Enhancing the three-dimensional managerial skills of agricultural managers can serve as an effective strategic approach to boost rice farmers' performance. Policymakers should prioritize targeted skill development programs to optimize agricultural productivity and ensure food security.
