Survey in E-Readiness of Organizations to Develop Competitive Intelligence with Fuzzy Approach

Abstract
In recent years, rapid environmental changes have threatened the survival of many organizations. Information and Communication Technology (ICT), by providing various pathways to achieving competitive advantage, has enabled organizations to surpass their rivals through enhancing the level of competitive intelligence and utilizing up-to-date information. A society can fully develop competitive intelligence when it has established more favorable conditions and infrastructure in terms of e-readiness compared to its competitors; a society that has access to electronic communication networks at the highest level and in which the continuous use of ICT has become the dominant culture. The purpose of this article is to investigate the e-readiness of organizations in developing competitive intelligence in an insurance company using fuzzy sets theory. The statistical population of this research consists of 85 managers and employees of the insurance company. Due to the limited size of the statistical population, no sampling method was employed and the entire population was considered. To collect data, a questionnaire was distributed among the members of the statistical population, whose validity and reliability were confirmed. The results of the study indicate that the level of e-readiness of the company for developing competitive intelligence is relatively in a favorable condition.
